Take The Long Way Home

I haven't updated for nearly two weeks, this is for a couple of reasons, one being that i have paranoia that people from college and the halls or residence are going to find my blog, Twitter or Facebook, although now i think I've got over this and realised if they do find them i don't have an intentions of saying anything that would offend someone or have any repercussions for me. The other reason for the lack of activity is due to the fact that with the Internet in the halls is dire, it would really be quicker to send updates by post.

It's now two weeks since i moved away and I've come home for a bit of a break. I took the long way home this week and visited Jemma in Glasgow at her halls of residence. For the past week i have had a killer cold and cough, which has meant I've only made it into college twice, which means my attendance is already down to 75%, shocking innit. The previous week consisted of a lot of partying, which naturally meant a lot of drink.

So tonight i head back up to Greenock, feeling slightly refreshed. I'm think of coming back down Friday and staying until Monday evening again, I'm going to try and making the most of having the luxury of time to visit because on Friday i handed in my application form and CV to Morrison's which is the beginning of my [first] job hunting process. This is first for me as the only experience of work i have was the week of work experience i did at Logan Botanic Gardens back in 2007. So fingers crossed I'll find somewhere willing to employ me.

My plan is, that when I've saved up enough money i can buy a small car so i can go visit Jemma in Glasgow (which is only 30 minutes away by car) and take her out more often. Any other money that i save is going to go towards getting a flat next year, hopefully with Jemma.

That's a very condensed version of the past two weeks, as for course work at college we haven't really started getting into the good stuff yet, so theres not much to report from that front. Also i have developed a craving for pastries, it's so unhealthy. I'm not sure whats going to kill me this year, the drink, the passive smoking or the pastries.

Okay, so my plans to blog last night fell through due to time and the weather been against me. So this can be a post for two days. Apparently Greenock is known for it's above average rainfall, although this has never been statistically proven since i arrived it seems that it's most likely to be true. Although it did let up while i did my shopping, that in itself is an odd experience.

But anyway, this is my room (too the back of the room there is also a wash basin, but I'm sure you don't want to see that):

Anyway, tomorrows my first day of college, this means that i have to go out regardless of the weather. I have Communications in the morning and Maths & Physics in the afternoon.

Hopefully the weather will be on my side. I'll let you know how it goes.

Okay, okay, i know I've said this what now feels like a hundred times, but this time i promise this will be my last, first blog post.

So it's the night before i move to my new home in Greenock and this time, I'm pretty sure, is the best time to "start" blogging. I'm going to keep this post short but i shall update more, hopefully tomorrow if i can find an Internet source is readily available.

So tomorrow I'm flying the nest, the next step is learning to fly.
